I’ve decided to bring back the Snapshot Sunday series where I feature a photo (or two or three) every week that hasn’t previously hit the blog.
This week’s selections come from a trip I took with my school to Jeju Island, South Korea last December. This was my second trip to Jeju and although we were visiting what is touted as “Korea’s Hawaii” in the winter, the weather was spectacular, letting us take in a lot of Jeju’s natural beauty.

Lovely photos. What was it like there in December? Warmer than mainland Korea? I was contemplating doing a third visit to hike Hallasan in December, but decided I don’t travel well in the cold!

The weather was actually really nice- clear skies, sun, and temperatures between 10-15C. I think that we may have gotten lucky, though, and that it’s not always like that in December so holding off on Hallasan may have been a good decision
Oooh how lucky that you got to go there on your school’s dime! I was planning to go there for Buddha’s birthday in May but the flights are ALREADY sold out so winter might now be the only time I can go. Hope I get amazing weather like this, pretty photos!

I know! At first I was worried about having to chaperone 120 sixth graders but it turned out being a lot of fun. And yeah, it is impossible to fly to Jeju on any public holidays. So annoying. But winter isn’t the worst option!
Wow. Seriously stunning photographs.
