Hi Justine! I think that will be enough time. There isn’t a ton of stuff to do so 2 whole days should be enough. Unfortunately I don’t know much about camping as I stayed in a hotel, but from what I remember there really weren’t beaches with sand. Enjoy your trip!

Hi, we are hoping to travel here for the upcoming long weekend (May 3-6). Is this enough time to see at least a little of the island? And if so, what is the camping situation like? We are more than happy to camp on beaches and whatnot, but I am wondering whether it is frowned upon to do so.

It was really beautiful. Although very Korean in some ways, it felt like an entirely different places at times because of the stunning scenery. Who knows, you might be back in Korea someday and can visit then

Ulleungdo! I’m soooo jealous you went here, Amanda! I’ve wanted to go since year 1 of being in Korea, but alas I won’t have time before I finish my contract in March. Booooo.

Looking forward to seeing more about the island! From the photos you’ve posted here, it looks beautiful! And good tip about brushing up on the Hangeul. No bad translations to save the day!
