Koreans only go to the beach in July and August so that is when they are technically open ie there are umbrellas to rent and lifeguards on duty. You should have no problem swimming in April if the weather is warm enough, but don’t expect a lot of other people to be there! Not too sure about the weather on Jeju in April as I was only there in summer and winter. Hopefully you’ll luck out with clear skies and warm temps :) Enjoy!

Great blog :) I’m living in Beijing but plan to visit Jeju Island at the end of April. One of the places I want to go to is Hyeopjae Beach. On the official site, it says it’s open from early July to late August (http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_1_1_1.jsp?cid=264170). If we go in April, can we still swim then? And what will the weather be like in late April? Thanks in advance for your advice!
