You may get homesick, but it’s definitely worth it for the experience.

I was homesick, but all the international counselors are in the same boat, and the American’s are so welcoming and lovely. We’d go to their houses on the weekends, and spend holidays with their families and with Skype and email these days it’s so much easier to go overseas.

I say go for it! It may be just what you need to step out of your comfort zone and leave that homesickness behind :)

I’ve been wanting to do Camp America for ages (because it looks like so much fun and I have a chronic case of wanderlust!!) but this year I moved to university and got so homesick I had to transfer back! I have a horrible feeling it has crushed my want to travel! But you make it sound so much fun and yet I still can’t decide whether I could do it or not.
