And we all know that this trip to Paris was the best trip to Paris.

My friend Claire found a good deal on EuroStar tickets and snatched them up immediately. She’d never been, our other friend Meghan had never been, and I’d spent half my previous time there at Disney World. [...]

It’s worth a repeat visit for sure.

It does seem we have a lot in common :) Renting an apartment is great. Different than couchsurfing because you don’t have a host, but it offers you a lot of privacy, a chance to live like a local, and it’s often cheaper than a hostel!

And yes, Paris is so magical. I can’t wait to go back someday!

I ran across your blog the other day, and it seems we’ve done a lot of similar things! I was an au pair in Paris for a year (joiedevivre-paris.blogspot.com) and now I’m teaching in Korea (Ansan, Gyeonggi-do). Thanks for sharing the site Wimdu… I’ve heard of that idea, but just figured it was couchsurfing… it looks a lot more awesome! Cool! Best wishes in Korea and beyond! -Vanessa

p.s. The first time I visited Paris (and caught the bug to go back for more), I couldn’t even see the top of the Eiffel Tower from the ground because it was so foggy. haha. After a year, Paris was still just as magical as ever.
