I don’t think anyone can say they’ve experienced Paris unless they’ve done the crucial jump shot in front of the Eiffel Tower! Hopefully one day you’ll get to see the view on a clear day. It’s worth a repeat visit for sure.

Thanks for the comment, Vanessa! It does seem we have a lot in common Renting an apartment is great. Different than couchsurfing because you don’t have a host, but it offers you a lot of privacy, a chance to live like a local, and it’s often cheaper than a hostel!

And yes, Paris is so magical. I can’t wait to go back someday!

Hi! I ran across your blog the other day, and it seems we’ve done a lot of similar things! I was an au pair in Paris for a year (joiedevivre-paris.blogspot.com) and now I’m teaching in Korea (Ansan, Gyeonggi-do). Thanks for sharing the site Wimdu… I’ve heard of that idea, but just figured it was couchsurfing… it looks a lot more awesome! Cool! Best wishes in Korea and beyond! -Vanessa

p.s. The first time I visited Paris (and caught the bug to go back for more), I couldn’t even see the top of the Eiffel Tower from the ground because it was so foggy. haha. After a year, Paris was still just as magical as ever.
