I think you made a wise decision, Tom. It was stairs that went STRAIGHT up the side of the crater. You always knew how far off the ground you were :) And yes, the Udo post will be up tonight! It's unfortunate you didn't get to go; the island was charming! That sky lift was scary for me, and I’m not even afraid of heights! I think you made a wise decision, Tom. I'm also surprised I didn't slip out of the Sky Lift in Seoul Grand Park and die. Sunrise Peak though - EEK! I could see it from the pension that I stayed in with my bf and his family and ohmygod I firmly said, "No. Way." to going up there. It looks way too high for me and I think I'd have just gotten dizzy and miserable. I'm glad you posted this so that I know what's at the top now (and how sucky it would have been to climb it!), but I still think I'll just admire it from afar. Also, will there be a post on Udo soon? I really wanted to go there but the weather sucked when I was in Jeju, so ferries operating to the islands around Jeju weren't running, or where operating sporadically at best. Boo. It was over 7 miles... and all up and down, up and down. I thought my lungs would pop. This is similar to when we decided to walk the coastal trail in San Francisco.
